Velle is a memory-organization app designed to help you save photos of meaningful old items, add written recollections, organize them into timelines and collections, and generate retro-style memory cards. This Privacy Notice explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have.
We are committed to keeping your data private. We do not sell your data, we do not share your user-generated memories with third parties for their own purposes, and we do not use third-party AI services to process your content. Any AI processing is performed exclusively on our own internal servers.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. These safeguards may include encryption in transit, access controls, secure server environments, limited employee access, and monitoring for suspicious activity.
While we work to protect your information, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and your account credentials, where applicable.
Velle does not use facial recognition, biometric identification, or face templates. We do not create biometric profiles, and we do not use your photos to identify a person. If any image is processed for memory organization or card generation, it is processed only for the app’s memory-related features, and the uploaded image is deleted after processing.
Information you provide directly: We may collect the photos you choose to upload or capture, text you write for memory notes, titles, years, locations, people-related labels, collection names, and other content you decide to save in the app. If you contact support, we also collect the information you include in your message.
Information collected automatically: We may collect limited device and app usage information such as device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and diagnostic data needed to keep the app functioning properly. We may also collect basic usage events such as feature interactions to understand app performance.
Cookies and similar technologies: If parts of Velle use web-based components or online services, we may use cookies or similar technologies for essential functionality, session management, and basic analytics. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Your information may be processed or stored in countries or regions other than where you live, depending on where our servers and infrastructure providers operate. When data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to protect it and require applicable service providers to follow contractual obligations designed to safeguard your information.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and you may request information about how your data is used.
To exercise these rights, please contact us using the email address listed in the Contact Information section below. We may need to verify your request before we can respond. If you delete content from the app, we will remove it from your account or device storage where applicable, subject to the retention practices described in this notice.
We use information to provide and improve Velle’s core features, including uploading or capturing item photos, organizing memory notes, generating timeline entries, creating retro memory cards, managing collections, saving your history, and supporting in-app purchases.
We do not use your data for advertising, user profiling, data selling, or any form of targeted marketing based on your memory content. We do not use your user-generated content for AI training, model improvement, or unrelated secondary purposes. We use information only for the operation of the app and related support, security, and maintenance functions.
We do not sell, rent, or trade user data. We do not share any user-uploaded or user-generated content with any third party for their own use. We do not use any third-party AI services to process user data. All AI processing is performed exclusively on our own internal servers.
We may use limited third-party service providers for infrastructure purposes only, such as cloud hosting, server operations, database storage, content delivery, and basic security monitoring. These providers act solely on our behalf and only under our instructions. They are bound by contractual obligations to protect data security and are not permitted to use user data for any purpose beyond what we instruct.
These third parties may not use your data for advertising, profiling, AI training, model optimization, resale, redistribution, or their own independent purposes. They are not allowed to access or use your content except as necessary to provide the contracted infrastructure services.
Uploaded photos and temporary processing data: Uploaded images are deleted after processing is completed. Any temporary processing data used during analysis or generation is also deleted after the task finishes.
Generated memory results: Memory notes, timelines, tags, and generated card content are stored in your history so you can revisit them. You can delete these records at any time from within the app.
Crash logs: Crash reports and diagnostic logs may be retained for up to 12 months to help us diagnose issues and improve stability.
Support messages: Support communications may be retained for up to 6 months after the issue is resolved, unless a longer period is required for legal or security reasons.
When retention is no longer necessary, we will delete or anonymize the information in accordance with our retention practices and applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect changes in our features, legal requirements, or operational practices. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice in the app or through other appropriate channels.
Your continued use of Velle after an update becomes effective means you acknowledge the revised Privacy Notice, to the extent permitted by law.
Any AI-related processing in Velle is performed only on our own internal servers. We do not send your user-uploaded photos, notes, or generated memories to third-party AI services. We also do not use your content for AI training, fine-tuning, or model optimization.
Where AI is used to help organize or summarize memory content, the relevant temporary data is deleted after processing is complete. We use AI only to support the app’s memory organization features and not for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.
Velle is intended for users who are 17 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 17, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
By downloading, accessing, or using Velle, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Notice and agree to the collection, use, processing, and storage of information as described here. If you do not agree with this notice, please do not use the app.
